Dr. Daniel Overmeyer, originally from Defiance, Ohio, graduated from the Bowling Green State University and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1983.
He began his career in Delta, Ohio, working for an animal practice dealing with a mixture of both large and small animals. From there, he spent 15 years in emergency medicine. While serving as a board member, manager and practitioner for the former Companion Animal Emergency Service, he honed considerable diagnostic skills by his treatment of thousands of critically ill pets.
In November 1999, Dr. Overmeyer became the owner of Daniel Overmeyer Veterinary Center and has placed an emphasis on diagnosis, elective and emergency surgery, critical care, medical therapy, as well as long-term wellness management. Using a hands-on approach, Dr. Overmeyer personally treats every animal that comes to his clinic.
He is a member of the Toledo Veterinary Medical Association, The Ohio Veterinary Medical Association and The American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Overmeyer resides in Sylvania Township. His family includes his wife Hope, step-son John, Jem their Siamese cat, Marta and Frida their Hungarian Vizslas.
